Wildcard: He is very friendly. He has just got to meet every dog out there. In fact it can be said that Enzo has never met a party he hasn’t liked. Also he has insisted on a Facebook page so he can keep everyone up to date on his whereabouts.
Arrival Story: Enzo came to us through the Marin Humane Society as a young pup at only 4 months old. We had just lost our beloved bloodhound Ellie. For nine weeks, every Saturday, we visited the shelter never thinking that wed’d never find another four-legged addition to the family that could replace her. Lucky were we when we met Enzo looking up at us so energetic, frisky and friendly. Almost a year later, Enzo runs the household and maintains that he is in fact a 50 pound lap dog. We adore the way he “talks” to us in a low growl-mumble voicing his opinions. He also insists on being the front-seat dog whenever there are errands to supervise. Every night, before bed, Enzo insists on a bed time story before settling in for at least a 12 hour sleep.

Bio: We decided to get a second dog for Buddha to have a friend. We decided after positive past experience to look for a pit bull female. After looking all over for a rescue with a female brindle pup, we found Banu in Tonopah, Arizona. She was born to a pit bull female in an abandoned trailer and survived on her own, feral for the first two months of her life. As she grew, she didn’t quite fill out like a pit bull would, and we knew that she some type of mix. After doing our research, we found out she is mixed with Whippet. We like to call her a Pippet (a mix of pit and Whippet). She’s an amazing dog. She loves to play soccer and bite the water as it comes out of the hose. And, when she gets outside, she’s lightening fast!

Arrival Story: I wanted a whippet because of their compact size and easy to groom coat. I was picking a new Pet Partner to visit patients in the hospital.
Petey is a three-legged whippet due to an injury, but he still runs like the wind and is so happy to meet everyone. He makes a fabulous therapy dog for me too as I have chronic pain issues.

Bio: Penny was rescued from lurcherlink.org. I have had 2 other dogs from this fantastic fostering & adoption network. She was one of three in a recued litter. One brother died of parvo; her other brother,Boots, contracted parvo but survives and lives with some fun loving humans.
My family and I love lurchers and have had 4. Sadly, my son has a very unusual allergy which is affecting his eyesight. Mother nature is the biggest enemy but sadly he has now tested to be allergic to dogs. 3 dogs were rehomed, 1 was put to sleep as very very old (17ish).
Son responded well to some medication and we were allowed 1 dog back, so we chose Penny has she was rehomed furtherest away. Cassie and Guiness live with our inlaws within 1 mile.

Arrival Story: Gussy was hit by a car in front of me in 2009. I scooped her up and took her to the ER vet. When her owner was contacted they said to have her euthanized. I talked them into transferring her to me and took care of her from there. She had head trauma and could not walk for months. She can now run, jump, and play! She is also a ham for the camera. A good thing when you live with a dog photographer!
