Arrival Story: The father of a family friend was a breeder in San Jose. His dogs had a litter of pups, and he became ill and was looking for homes for his pups and their parents. My mother always wanted a Newfoundland ever since she was a little girl, and our friend knew this and sent us pictures of two available puppies. Max came home with us soon after, a whopping 90lbs, 5 months old fluff ball!
He and his brother Napoleon have play fests every couple of months.
He makes friends with his sweet eyes and goofy smile every day.

Bio: Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted a dog. Once I decided that I could get one, I did loads of research for a few years to find the perfect breed. I decided that a lovable, gentle giant of a Newfie would be perfect for me, but I had never seen one before. I looked up the Newfie Rescue group and sent them an email. Did they know anyone with a Newfie who could do a meet-and-greet? The woman from rescue said, “Come on over! I have three of them!” It was love at first sight! I didn’t want a puppy since I work during the day, and thought rescue was the way to go. I was put on a waiting list for 8 months and they found the perfect dog for me! Scarlett moved in and my world has revolved around her ever since. She has won my heart and the love of everyone she meets!

Bio: Tank was born a show dog and was a beautiful puppy. He came to us at 10 weeks old pushing 35 pounds. A big ball of fur. It was love from day one. He is the epitome of the Newf breed. Gentle, loving and very sweet. He was born on 9-11-01 as the towers fell. It became a very patriotic “themed” litter and that’s how he got his name. (Not to mention what a big boy he was)

Bio: Joseph flew to us from the snowy land of Michigan to be the new family member we had been searching for. We chose a Newfoundland Dog because of all the amazing things we heard about their breed, their lovable bear size and amazing temperament.
Joseph was exactly what our family needed. He worked his magic on everyone of us in the past three years and we can’t imagine our home without him.
