Arrival Story: My mother passed away 4 years ago. I wanted a Frenchie but they were expensive and so I just kept looking. In April 2010 I found Mae Ling on her breeders website. “May” (breeders name) was born on my mothers birthday and my great grandmother’s name was Mae so I figured it was a sign and she was supposed to be with me.

Bio: My husband and I were two lonely South Africans living in New York City. Pining for home!
We had never seen Frenchies before until one magical day!
Walking past a pet store in Chelsea – there he was. Burnt marshmallow in color gazing out into the street from his glass confined. I ran up to him and pressed my face up to the glass so I could stare him in the eye. He stared back and gave the glass a big lick. The tears began to roll down my face as my husband turned to me and said. We can go in and play but we not taking him home.
We preceded into the store where a little balled frenchman named Norman approached us and said “zis
one luvs u”. He passed Luca to my husband and he melted.
That was it! We took him home that very day, and the marshmallow frenchie became Luca Alhadeff. Our son, friend and playmate.

Bio: I got Henri from a wonderful local breeder in Modesto, CA. I visited him when he was 11 weeks old and took him home the next week after prepping my home for a new puppy. It’s been good times ever since. I had decided on a French Bulldog because I wanted my first dog to be portable and compact without having to lose out on the big dog feel. Plus I fell in love with their snorts and wheezing sounds and wrinkled up faces – what’s not to love? Henri has grown to 30 pounds of Frenchie-hunka-hunka-burnin’-love, and I can’t wait for many more years of bliss together

Bio: I adopted Lola from a wonderful woman who lives in Northern California and occasionally breeds Frenchies. My choice of breed was pretty easy. While I wanted a small social dog who is happy to run on the beach or cuddle on the couch, Frenchies are more than that to me. I see a unique and special soulfullness when I look into their eyes.

Bio: We picked Mon Amie because she was acting pathetic in the shelter and we had no idea what we were getting into with a bulldog, even a french one.
Truffles was on Craig’s list and was so doped up on Prozac for supposed separation anxiety that we had to get her out of that guys clutches. She does not have separation anxiety with us and is now drug free.

Bio: My girlfriend and I love Frenchies and had been trying to find a rescue for quite a while but had no luck. We met someone who just recently acquired a Frenchie from a breeder in Tennessee who had nothing but great things to say about her, so secretly I contacted this breeder and surprised my girlfriend with him. As a baby, he actually looked like a little piggy, complete with a little pink nose and paws that looked like hooves!
