There are many different breed groups recognized by the AKC. For the purpose of the book, the breeds primarily being sought are the current AKC registered breeds. If you have a dog whose breed is AKC but included in the miscellaneous or FSS classes, they will also be considered for inclusion, should there be a purebred and rescue dog match.
